Two electrically powered, high pressure, pump units ready for GA Drilling

6th Aug 2019

GA Drilling will soon receive two containerised pump units for field testing and operational applications. The units are for the Slovakia-based energy technology group who specialise in plasma drilling and milling products for geothermal energy and oil & gas well applications. Both units will be used for the injection of cooling water into both their bottom hole assembly and high pressure test well. The scope of supply includes the design and build, VSD, control system, and full, in-house testing witnessed by the customer.

Each unit will feature the HDP200 pump, a vertically mounted pump that enables a reduced pump unit footprint. Each pump will be driven by a VSD-controlled 200kW motor and will be housed within a DNV-certified, 16ft container. The container will be insulated to offer significant noise reduction and temperature control. There will be external access to the HMI control panel which will be mounted in the container wall.

Mounted inside each container will be an insulated, 1m3 stainless steel, water buffer tank. The pump will be fed from this tank ensuring an un-interrupted flow on the suction side.

Whilst the reliability and long time between services of our MultiJet range of pump units have been proven in the field over the last two decades, we offer full spares, service, and training support.
