Calder finish the year on a high with an order for one of our very successful MultiJet high pressure pump units for subsea services.
At the heart of the unit will be a Hammelmann HDP 302 quintuplex plunger pump providing 120 lpm of seawater to subsea tooling at a pressure of 1,200 bar. The pump will be driven by the latest Tier V engine technology.
This rig safe unit will be mounted in a sound-attenuated, 20-ft DNV 2.7-1 container. The container will be painted with a 2-pack epoxy, 4-coat finish suitable for a marine environment. Inside will be a fire detection system, permanent fire extinguishing system (foam), heat-sensing tube for automatic release of the fire extinguishing system, and a portable fire extinguisher (foam). On the outside will be a button for manual release of the fire extinguishing system.
The unit will feature shut-down capability (permissive and feedback signals) from the main control room on the rig and an internal camera surveillance system.
