We are pleased to welcome Rupert Knowles as our Head of Engineering.
The market requirements of the energy sector are constantly changing – even more so of late. Our product range for the industrial waterjetting and manufacturing sectors grows apace. Both of these areas will keep Rupert very busy over the coming years as he builds on the legacy of his predecessor, Peter Elliott-Moore, and develops solutions to the engineering challenges that will arise with new markets and product diversification.
Rupert is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and has a wide range of design and management experience working in engineering SME environments. The previous roles undertaken by Rupert over the last 15 years in the oil & gas sector and water industry have prepared him well for his new role both in terms of product experience and industry sector knowledge. Calder design and manufacture high quality products and Rupert’s experience is ideally suited to our company ethos of building the best pumping products for both onshore and offshore applications.
Rupert stated, “Calder have a very experienced and competent engineering team which is well versed with developing bespoke design solutions for a customer-driven market. I look forward to developing our core engineering capabilities and competencies to meet the challenges of the current and future markets”.
Rupert takes the engineering reins from Peter Elliott-Moore who will be stepping back into a consultancy role in the foreseeable future. Rupert will be supported for a three-month transition period by Peter to ensure a smooth handover.
