ATEX Zone 2 offshore vacuums ready for despatch

Our latest electric-driven offshore vacuum units are ready for despatch. The two vacuum packages will operate in ATEX Zone 2 hazardous environments on offshore platforms. These versatile machines will perform a range of fabric manitenance duties. The machines are from our MultiVac range of offshore vacuums. We have given a closer look in this video of our latest electric vacuum units.

ISO 10855-1 Compliant Offshore Container

Each unit is housed in an ISO 10855-1 compliant offshore container. The containers are painted in 2-pack epoxy, 4-coat marine finish to protect the units from harsh operating environments. The containers can be lifted by fork lift truck. Lifting by crane is also an option using the 5-leg sling set provided as standard with our offshore packages. A bund/drip tray complete with threaded plugs contains spillages and allows easy draining. The containers are fitted with noise attenuation panels. There are door stays on all main doors, services door and the control panel.

Electric Motor and Drive Coupling

Each offshore vacuum unit is powered by an electric motor with an Exde IIB T3 hazardous area rating. The drive coupling is ATEX certified for hazardous area applications.

Vacuum Pump

The vacuum pump is a ‘blower style’. The pump has a maximum pressure of 508 mbar (16” Hg) and a maximum flow rate of 1850 cfm.

Control Panel

These ATEX Zone 2 vacuums each feature an Exd control panel. Each control panel is housed in a stainless steel enclosure mounted flush with the container wall.
